Stealth Salespeople
Stealth Salespeople
The Association of Stealth Salespeople (A.S.S.) is offering real estate agents a new designation: The Certified Stealth Salesperson (C.S.S.). In order to qualify prospective designees must demonstrate a concerted effort towards call reluctance & prospecting paranoia.
This past weekend I qualified for the prestigious C.S.S. I went on a motorcycle ride with a few friends. We had lunch at a sports bar. I forgot to bring any business cards on the trip. I didn’t ask anybody if they had any friends or relatives with short sale issues, or real estate needs. One fellow rider handed out Arizona Sun Chaser motorcycle club cards to my chagrin. This morning I was emailed the C.S.S. award which is suitable for framing.
The designation is offered to all salespeople including reps in the mortgage & title business. This past week I attended a real estate seminar. Before the panel began, I introduced myself to the four title agents sitting behind me. None of them had a name badge on their shirts. Not one of them handed me a business card, or asked me for mine. There were dozens of vendors at the event, but not one sent me a follow-up email, or called to ask for some business. They are perfect candidates for the C.S.S.
Real estate agents can also qualify for the C.S.S. by:
- Driving by f.s.b.o. signs and not calling or jotting the number down.
- Failing to consistently contact past clients.
- Not proactively prospecting on a daily basis.
- Avoiding cancelled & expired sellers.
- Hesitating to join any networking groups.
- Dismissing any social marketing on Facebook or Linkedin.
- Failing to focus on a demographic or geographic farm area.
- Cutting costs by not sending friends and relatives monthly ‘items of value’.
A wise man once said, “You get what you pay for”. The C.S.S. designation has no application fee, renewal fee, or continuing education requirements! Don’t hesitate. Apply today: 1/800/Who cares (www.whocares.com).
